Customer proposals and presentations: turn an approved brief into a decision
A customer presentation should help a recipient understand the proposed work and make a specific next decision. The useful artifact states the problem, scope, assumptions, exclusions, price or pricing basis, responsibilities and next action. Attractive slides support that explanation; they do not replace it.
The category belongs in a customer communication workflow when proposals, demonstrations or onboarding explanations are repeated and the current production process has a clear gap. It does not mean every small business needs a second presentation editor.
Define the gap before choosing an editor
| Gap | First process improvement | Research direction |
|---|---|---|
| No agreed customer brief | Write the scope and unresolved assumptions | Resolve the brief before AI drafting |
| Initial structure takes too long | Create an approved narrative outline | Gamma as a drafting candidate |
| Repeated layout repairs | Establish approved content and design rules | Beautiful.ai as a layout candidate |
| Many related visual artifacts | Define reusable brand elements | Canva as a broader visual workflow candidate |
| Authors send inconsistent versions | Define author, reviewer and delivery roles | Pitch as a collaboration candidate |
| Exported files fail customer review | Specify and test the receiving format | Use the same destination-file acceptance check |
These are editorial starting points rather than exclusive product boundaries. Research the exact plan and run the same customer brief through relevant candidates.
Four product guides and three useful comparisons
Read Gamma for drafting, card structure and exported output. Read Beautiful.ai for Smart Slides, layout consistency and editable delivery. Read Canva for a wider visual-production brief, and Pitch for shared authoring, review roles and customer sharing.
Use Gamma vs Beautiful.ai when structure and layout are the competing production gaps. Use Gamma vs Canva when the same team produces several types of visual material. Use Beautiful.ai vs Pitch when coordinated review may matter more than automatic layout.
Official documentation describes supported exports and plan conditions, but a supported format is not evidence that every design passes the customer's editing requirement. Gamma exports, Beautiful.ai editable export, Canva presentations and Pitch pricing
Agree on delivery acceptance
Ask whether the customer needs a browser view, printable PDF or editable PowerPoint. Record the intended application and any offline, branding or review requirements. Export a representative price table and scope page, then inspect them in the destination.
Check numbers, notes, links, fonts, editability and legibility. Review every generated statement against the approved brief. An invented implementation date or unsupported performance claim is a content failure even when the slide looks polished.
Use the presentation delivery checklist before sending. Retain the approved version and the actual delivered copy together so the receiving team can identify the accepted promises.
Budget the review and handoff
Quote authors, reviewers, brand scope, AI or usage allowances, output capability and annual commitments. Include setup, template maintenance and recurring export repairs in the cost planner. Separate internal effort estimates from vendor charges.
Choose a delivery owner and a specific next decision. A presentation view does not establish agreement. If the proposal changes, identify the replacement version and carry the accepted scope into the customer record.
Use proposal to next action to connect the brief, factual review, delivery and receiving team. Use the fit assessment to establish whether a customer brief and remaining production gap exist before recommending another editor.
