Bundle offer to checkout, fulfillment and a fair remedy

Use this playbook when several items or a quantity rule create one customer-facing offer. The goal is agreement between what is advertised, what is paid, what is picked and what can be returned. It applies to native storefront tools as well as paid bundle applications.

Give the offer an owner

The merchandising owner defines the contents, choices, price and expiry. Operations verifies stock and component representation. Finance or the authorized commercial role reviews discount allocation and remedy costs. Service reviews the wording and exceptions. Name a person who can withdraw the offer and pause related promotion if it breaks.

For an illustrative gift set, specify two items and an optional variant choice. Describe whether an unavailable component hides the offer, changes the choice or stops checkout. The team must decide that behavior before interpreting an app's default configuration as the policy.

Preserve the approved offer

Field Required decision
Offer version Name, effective period and approved product-page wording
Components Product identifiers, quantities and permitted variants
Price and discount Total, stacking rule and allocation to components
Availability Source quantity and response to an unavailable component
Order handling How the paid order appears to warehouse and support
Remedy Partial-return rule, approver and customer explanation
Withdrawal Authorized operator and treatment of existing orders

Keep the record outside the app as well as in its configuration. A vendor outage should not leave staff unable to explain orders already accepted.

Follow one order through every surface

Review product page, mobile selection, cart, checkout, order confirmation and the actual fulfillment record. Test discount stacking against your intended rule. Ask a packer to identify every component and quantity without consulting the merchandising owner.

Rehearse the bad order

Make a component unavailable, edit an order after payment and inspect a partial refund. Record which changes reach fulfillment and which require manual review. If a cancellation arrives after picking begins, the warehouse must explicitly accept the stop; a changed storefront record alone is not enough.

If the offer no longer works, stop new promotion, remove or correct the public promise and review affected orders. Assign each customer an accurate next step. Fast Bundle maintains current service status and history; the merchant still needs its own recovery and communication plan.

Measure useful economics

Review contribution after products, shipping, payment charges, software and expected remedy work. Higher average order value may hide heavier parcels or lower margin. Use your own normal and peak figures, and label assumptions rather than presenting them as observed results.

Count mismatched components, unexpected discounts, support questions and manual corrections. A promotion that repeatedly needs repair may be unsuitable even when it generates orders.

Choose the minimum sufficient setup

Compare Fast Bundle and Shopify Bundles against this same acceptance record. Keep the native or existing arrangement if it passes. Add a specialized tool only for a verified gap that the team can maintain after the campaign owner leaves.
